Recognition for the LBTU Fundamental Library's Contribution to Data Submission in the UN FAO International Information System AGRIS
The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) AGRIS international information system has awarded the LBTU Fundamental Library the 'Seal of Recognition for Active Data Provider of the Year 2025'. This recognition was granted in acknowledgment of the library's purposeful and proactive contribution to the submission of scientific data throughout 2024.
For the formation of the AGRIS database, the Fundamental Library of the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies shall draw up and send to the FAO AGRIS Information Resources Centre in Rome bibliographic records of expenditure published in Latvia in food, agriculture, forestry, fisheries and other allied industries. Accordingly, the work of scientists from Latvia's agricultural and other allied industries in the world is promoted, as well as their availability to any interested in the world.
The information shall be processed in accordance with recommendations developed by the UN FAO AGRIS and international standards. The bibliography records produced by the Fundamental Library of the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies are available on the AGRIS portal
