Produced by CABI, this is the leading English-language abstracts information service providing access to the world’s applied life sciences literature. Coverage includes agriculture, environment, veterinary sciences, plant sciences, mycology and parasitology, food science, human health and nutrition.
This database features comprehensive subject indexing with the CAB Thesaurus–CABI’s controlled vocabulary tool–making searching easier and providing more precise access to all relevant research.
The international focus of the content gives access to a wide cross-section of global research. Indexing for over 10,000 academic journals, books, conference proceedings and reports specially selected by subject experts. Over 350000 full-text journal articles, reports and conference proceedings.
CABI Compendium Animal Health and Production (Via university IS)
The Animal Health and Production Compendium (AHPC) is an encyclopaedic, multimedia tool that brings together a wide range of different types of science-based information to support sound decision-making in animal husbandry and food production worldwide. It is comprised of information sourced from experts, edited and compiled by an independent scientific organization, and resourced by a diverse international Development Consortium. It is kept up to date routinely. Existing information on animal health and production has been collated, evaluated, organized and presented as a single resource. The AHPC is one of a series of compendia covering animal and plant production, pests and diseases.
CABI Compendium Crop Protection (Via university IS)
The Crop Protection Compendium is an encyclopaedic resource that brings together a wide range of different types of science-based information on all aspects of crop protection. It comprises detailed datasheets on pests, diseases, weeds, host crops and natural enemies that have been sourced from experts, edited by an independent scientific organization, and enhanced with data from specialist organizations, images, maps, a bibliographic database and full text articles. New datasheets and datasets continue to be added, datasheets are reviewed and updated, and search and analysis tools are being built.
CABI Compendium Forestry (Via university IS)
The Forestry Compendium was conceived to meet the need for the improved dissemination of knowledge on forest trees. The pilot phase in Compendium development in 1994-95 resulted in a demonstration version of a PC-based multimedia system. This interactive demonstration version was produced by CABI in collaboration with the Oxford Forestry Institute (OFI; now part of the Department of Plant Sciences, University of Oxford, UK) in a project sponsored by the Forestry Research Programme of the UK Overseas Development Administration (now the Department for International Development - DFID).
This collection specialized for the needs of agronomists and crop scientists. It includes installments from the acclaimed series Genetics Resources, Chromosomes Engineering, and Crop Improvement, along with detailed studies on individual crops, horticultural methods, soil fertility, crop security, and agroforestry.

Academic Search™ Complete is the world's most valuable and comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 9,000 full-text periodicals, including more than 7,800 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 12,500 journals and a total of more than 13,200 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1887, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format. Searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,400 journals.

Database offers students and researchers an unprecedented collection of peer-reviewed, full-text journals, including many journals indexed in leading citation indexes.

ERIC, the Education Resource Information Center, provides access to education literature and resources. The database provides access to information from journals included in the Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index. The database contains more than 1.5 million records and links to more than 323,000 full-text documents dating back to 1966.

The database contains more than 32,000 entries and is a comprehensive guide to printed records about the Americas written in Europe before 1750.

This database is the richest collection of consumer health information available to libraries worldwide, providing information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health. Health Source: Consumer Edition provides access to nearly 80 full text, consumer health magazines.

This database provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition also features the Lexi-PAL Drug Guide, which covers 1,300 generic drug patient education sheets with more than 4,700 brand names.

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstract (LISTA) indexes more than 560 core journals, nearly 50 priority journals, and nearly 125 selective journals; plus books, research reports and proceedings. Coverage in the database extends back as far as the mid-1960s.

Designed specifically for public libraries, this multidisciplinary database provides full text for nearly 1,700 periodicals with full-text information dating as far back as 1975. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, MasterFILE Premier also contains full text for nearly 500 reference books and over 164,400 primary source documents, as well as an Image Collection of over 592,000 photos, maps & flags. This database is updated daily via EBSCOhost.
MEDLINE provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE uses MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) indexing with tree, tree hierarchy, subheadings and explosion capabilities to search citations from over 5,600 current biomedical journals.

Newspaper Source provides cover-to-cover full text for more than 40 (U.S.) & international newspapers. The database also contains selective full text for 389 regional (U.S.) newspapers. In addition, full text television & radio news transcripts are also provided.
- OpenDissertations (Campus access) (Via university IS)
This is an open-access database built to assist researchers in locating both historic and contemporary dissertations and theses. Created with the generous support of the H.W. Wilson Foundation and the Congregational Library & Archives in Boston, it incorporates EBSCO’s previously released American Doctoral Dissertations, and features additional dissertation metadata contributed by select colleges and universities from around the world. Providing researchers with citations to graduate research across a span of time, from the early 20th century to the present, this database will continue to grow through regular updates and new partnerships with graduate degree-granting institutions.

This database provides indexing and abstracts for 280 periodicals. In addition, 96% of journals indexed in TRC are peer-reviewed. The Lursoft newspaper library is a compilation of publications, news and articles of Latvian newspapers and magazines on the Internet, which is updated daily with new publications from the newspapers' latest numbers. The newspaper archive is available from 1994, “Latvijas Vēstnesis” from 2000.
